Translation

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Provision and a mount,” meaning, about Allah’s saying: “Whoever can bear the way.” [3:97]

حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْقُرَشِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَأَخْبَرَنِيهِ أَيْضًا عَنْ ابْنِ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الزَّادُ وَالرَّاحِلَةُ يَعْنِي قَوْلَهُ:‏‏‏‏ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلا سورة آل عمران آية 97.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اللہ کے فرمان: «من استطاع إليه سبيلا» کا مطلب زاد سفر اور سواری ہے ۱؎۔

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “No woman should travel the distance of three days or more, unless she is with her father, brother, son, husband or a Mahram.”

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, is Jihad obligatory for women?’ He said: “Yes: Upon them is a Jihad in which there is no fighting: Al-Hajj and Al-‘Umrah.”

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) heard a man saying: “Labbaik ‘an Shubrumah (Here I am (O Allah) on behalf of Shubrumah.” The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Who is Shubrumah?” He said: “A relative of mine.” He said: “Have you ever performed Hajj?” He said: “No.” He said: “Then make this for yourself, then perform Hajj on behalf of Shubrumah.”
