Muhammed bin Jubair bin Mut'im narrated that his father said: The Messenger of Allah stood up at Khaif in Mina and said: 'May Allah cause his face to shine, the man who hears what I say and conveys it (to others). There are those who have knowledge but no understanding, and there may be those who convey knowledge to those who have more understanding of it than they do.' حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْخَيْفِ مِنْ مِنًى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَضَّرَ اللَّهُ امْرَأً سَمِعَ مَقَالَتِي فَبَلَّغَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَرُبَّ حَامِلِ فِقْهٍ غَيْرِ فَقِيهٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرُبَّ حَامِلِ فِقْهٍ إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ أَفْقَهُ مِنْهُ .
جبیر بن مطعم رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم منیٰ کی مسجد خیف میں خطبہ دینے کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اللہ اس شخص کو تروتازہ رکھے جس نے میری حدیث سنی اور اسے دوسروں تک پہنچا دیا، اس لیے کہ بہت سے علم دین رکھنے والے فقیہ نہیں ہوتے ہیں، اور بہت سے وہ ہیں جو علم کو اپنے سے زیادہ فقیہ تک پہنچاتے ہیں ۔

Abdur-Rahman bin 'Abdullah narrated from his father that: The Prophet said: May Allah cause his face to shine, the man who hears a Hadith from us and conveys it, for perhaps the one to whom it is conveyed may remember it better than the one who (first) hears it.

Glad tidings to those in whose hands Allah places they keys to good, and woe to those in whose hands Allah places the keys to evil.'
