It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “What if one of you were to take a flock of sheep and look for grass for them one or two miles away, but he cannot find any at that distance, so he goes further away? Then (the time for) Friday comes but he does not attend it, then (another) Friday comes but he does not attend it, and (another) Friday comes but he does not attend it, until Allah places a seal on his heart.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مَعْدِيُّ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَجْلَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَلَا هَلْ عَسَى أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ الصُّبَّةَ مِنَ الْغَنَمِ عَلَى رَأْسِ مِيلٍ أَوْ مِيلَيْنِ فَيَتَعَذَّرَ عَلَيْهِ الْكَلَأُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيَرْتَفِعَ ثُمَّ تَجِيءُ الْجُمُعَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَا يَجِيءُ وَلَا يَشْهَدُهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَتَجِيءُ الْجُمُعَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَا يَشْهَدُهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَتَجِيءُ الْجُمُعَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَا يَشْهَدُهَا حَتَّى يُطْبَعَ عَلَى قَلْبِهِ .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: سن لو! قریب ہے کہ تم میں سے کوئی شخص ایک یا دو میل کے فاصلے پہ بکریوں کا ایک ریوڑ اکٹھا کر لے، وہاں گھاس ملنی مشکل ہو جائے تو دور چلا جائے، پھر جمعہ آ جائے اور وہ واپس نہ آئے، اور نماز جمعہ میں شریک نہ ہو، پھر جمعہ آئے اور وہ حاضر نہ ہو، اور پھر جمعہ آئے اور وہ حاضر نہ ہو، بالآخر اس کے دل پہ مہر لگا دی جاتی ہے ۔

It was narrated from Samurah bin Jundab that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Whoever abandons Friday deliberately, let him give a Dinar in charity, and if he cannot afford that, then (let him give) half a Dinar.”

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said: “The Prophet (ﷺ) used to perform four Rak’ah before Friday (prayer), and he did not separate any of them.”
