It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Sarjis said: A man came while the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was praying Subh, and he prayed two Rak'ahs then joined the prayer. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had finished praying he said: O so-and-so, which of them is your prayer - the one you prayed with us or the one you prayed on your own? '
أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَرْجِسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي صَلاةِ الصُّبْحِ فَرَكَعَ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ دَخَلَ فَلَمَّا قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاتَهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا فُلَانُ أَيُّهُمَا صَلَاتُكَ الَّتِي صَلَّيْتَ مَعَنَا أَوِ الَّتِي صَلَّيْتَ لِنَفْسِكَ .
عبداللہ بن سرجس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ایک شخص آیا، اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فجر کی نماز میں تھے، اس نے دو رکعت سنت پڑھی، پھر آپ کے ساتھ نماز میں شریک ہوا، جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنی نماز پوری کر چکے تو فرمایا:  اے فلاں! ان دونوں میں سے تمہاری نماز کون سی تھی، جو تم نے ہمارے ساتھ پڑھی ہے؟ یا جو خود سے پڑھی ہے  ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Ibn Abbas said: There was a woman who used to pray behind the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) who was beautiful, one of the most beautiful of people. Some of the people used to go to the front row to avoid seeing her, and some used to go to the back row so that when they bowed they could see her from beneath their armpits. Then Allah revealed the words: 'To Us are known those of you who hasten forward and those who lag behind.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray two Rak'ahs before Zuhr and two afterward, and he used to pray two Rak'ahs after Maghrib in his house, and two Rak'ahs after 'Isha', and he did not pray after Jumu'ah until he departed (from the Masjid), then he would pray two Rak'ahs at home.

It was narrated from Abu Ishaq, that 'Asim bin Damrah said: We asked 'Ali about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He said: 'Who among you could manage to do that?' We said: 'Even if we cannot do it, we still want to hear about it.' He said: 'When the sun reached the same height (in the east) as it reaches (in the west) at the time of 'Asr, he would pray two rak'ahs, and when the sun reached the same height (in the east) as it reaches (in the west) at the time for Zuhr he would pray four Rak'ahs. He would pray four Rak'ahs before Zuhr and two after, and he would pray four Rak'ahs before 'Asr, separating each two Rak'ahs with Taslim upon the angels who are close to Allah, and the prophets, and those who follow them of the believers and Muslims. '
