It was narrated from Qudamah Al-'Amiri that Jasrah bint Dijajah Al-'Amiriyyah told him: I heard 'Aishah when some people asked her about Nabidh, saying we soak dates in the morning and drink it in the evening, or we soak them in the evening and drink them in the morning. She said: 'I do not permit any intoxicant even if it were bread or even if it were water.' She said that three times.
أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قُدَامَةَ الْعَامِرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ جَسْرَةَ بِنْتَ دَجَاجَةَ الْعَامِرِيَّةَ حَدَّثَتْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ سَأَلَهَا أُنَاسٌ كُلُّهُمْ يَسْأَلُ عَنِ النَّبِيذِ،‏‏‏‏ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ نَنْبِذُ التَّمْرَ غُدْوَةً وَنَشْرَبُهُ عَشِيًّا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَنَنْبِذُهُ عَشِيًّا وَنَشْرَبُهُ غُدْوَةً ؟ قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ لَا أُحِلُّ مُسْكِرًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنْ كَانَ خُبْزًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنْ كَانَتْ مَاءً ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَتْهَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ.
جسرہ بنت دجاجہ عامر یہ بیان کرتی ہیں کہ   میں نے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کو سنا: ان سے کچھ لوگوں نے سوال کیا اور وہ سب ان سے نبیذ کے بارے میں پوچھ رہے تھے کہہ رہے تھے کہ ہم لوگ صبح کو کھجور بھگوتے اور شام کو پیتے ہیں اور شام کو بھگوتے ہیں تو صبح میں پیتے ہیں، تو وہ بولیں: میں کسی نشہ لانے والی چیز کو حلال قرار نہیں دیتی خواہ وہ روٹی ہو خواہ پانی، انہوں نے ایسا تین بار کہا۔

It was narrated that 'Ali bin Al-Mubarak said: Karimah bint Hammam told me that she heard 'Aishah, the Mother of the Believers, say: 'You have been forbidden Ad-Dubba' (gourds), you have been forbidden Al-Hantam, you have been forbidden Al-Muzaffat.' Then she turned to women and said: 'Beware of green earthenware jars, and if the water in your clay vessels intoxicates you, do not drink it.'
