Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: If the people knew what (virtue) there was in the call to prayer and the first row, and they not find any way to get to do that [1] other than by drawing lots, they would do that. If they knew what (virtue) there was in coming early to prayer, they would compete to be first in the Masjid. If they knew what (virtue) there was in Al-'Atamah and Subh, they would come to them even if they had to crawl. [1] Indicating the two mentioned items: that is the call to prayer and praying in the first row.

أَخْبَرَنَا عُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ح وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُمَيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ مَا فِي النِّدَاءِ وَالصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَجِدُوا إِلَّا أَنْ يَسْتَهِمُوا عَلَيْهِ لَاسْتَهَمُوا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ مَا فِي التَّهْجِيرِ لَاسْتَبَقُوا إِلَيْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَوْ عَلِمُوا مَا فِي الْعَتَمَةِ وَالصُّبْحِ لَأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اگر لوگ اس ثواب کو جو اذان دینے اور پہلی صف میں کھڑے ہونے میں ہے جان لیتے پھر اس کے لیے سوائے قرعہ اندازی کے کوئی اور راہ نہ پاتے، تو ضرور قرعہ ڈالتے، اور اگر لوگ جان لیتے کہ اول وقت نماز پڑھنے میں کتنا ثواب ہے، تو ضرور اس کی طرف سبقت کرتے، اور اگر انہیں معلوم ہوتا کہ عتمہ ( عشاء ) اور فجر میں آنے میں کیا ثواب ہے، تو وہ ان دونوں نمازوں میں ضرور آتے خواہ انہیں گھٹنے یا سرین کے بل گھِسٹ کر آنا پڑتا ۔

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Do not let the Bedouin make you change the name of this prayer of yours, for they delay the prayer until it is very dark because of their preoccupation with camels and milking them. Verily, it is 'Isha'.'

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say on the Minbar: 'Do not let the Bedouin make you change the name of your prayer; verily, it is 'Isha'.'

Ja'far bin Muhammad bin 'Ali bin Al-Husain narrated from his father, that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed Subh as soon as he was certain the dawn had appeared.

Humaid narrated from Ans that a man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and asked him about the time of the Subh prayer. The following morning he commanded that the Iqamah for prayer be said when dawn broke, and he led us in prayer. The next day when there was light he commanded that the Iqamah for prayer be said and he led us in prayer. Then he said: Where is the one who was asking about the time for prayer? (It is) between these two times.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has prayed Subh, the women would depart, wrapped in their wrappers, unrecognizable because of the darkness.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: The women used to pray Subh with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), wrapped in their wrappers, then they would return, and no one would recognize them because of the darkness.
