It was narrated that 'Aishah, the wife of the Prophet [SAW], said: The people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection will be those who try to match the creation of Allah.

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الَّذِينَ يُضَاهُونَ اللَّهَ فِي خَلْقِهِ .

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ قیامت کے دن سب سے زیادہ سخت عذاب ان لوگوں کو ہو گا جو مخلوق کی تصویر بنانے میں اللہ تعالیٰ کی مشابہت اختیار کرتے ہیں۔

It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Among the people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection will be the image-makers.'

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: Jibril, peace be upon him, asked permission to enter upon the Prophet [SAW] and he said: 'Come in.' He said: 'How can I come in when there is a curtain in your house on which there are images? You should either cut off their heads or make it into a rug to be stepped on, for we Angels do not enter a house in which there are images.'
