It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: I have been commanded to fight the people until they bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. If they bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, they turn to face the same Qiblah as us, they eat our slaughtered animals, and they pray as we pray; then their blood and their wealth are forbidden to us, except for a right that is due, and they have the same rights and duties as the Muslims.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا حِبَّانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَشْهَدُوا أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا شَهِدُوا أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاسْتَقْبَلُوا قِبْلَتَنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَكَلُوا ذَبِيحَتَنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَصَلَّوْا صَلَاتَنَا،‏‏‏‏ فَقَدْ حَرُمَتْ عَلَيْنَا دِمَاؤُهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَمْوَالُهُمْ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهَا لَهُمْ مَا لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَلَيْهِمْ مَا عَلَيْهِمْ .

انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں لوگوں سے جنگ کروں یہاں تک کہ وہ گواہی دیں کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں اور یہ کہ محمد اللہ کے رسول ہیں، پھر جب وہ گواہی دیں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں اور یہ کہ محمد اللہ کے رسول ہیں اور ہمارے قبلے کی طرف رخ کریں، ہمارا ذبیحہ کھائیں اور ہماری نماز پڑھیں تو ان کے خون اور ان کے مال ہم پر حرام ہو گئے مگر کسی حق کے بدلے، ان کے لیے وہ سب ہے جو مسلمانوں کے لیے ہے اور ان پر وہ سب ہے جو مسلمانوں پر ہے۔

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Faith has seventy odd branches and modesty (Al-Haya') is a branch of faith.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Faith has seventy-odd branches, the most virtuous of which is La ilaha illallah (there is none worthy of worship except Allah) and the least of which is removing something harmful from the road. And modesty (Al-Haya') is a branch of faith.'

Abu Sa'eed said: I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: 'Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; if he cannot, then with his tongue; if he cannot, then with his heart- and that is the weakest of Faith.'

It was narrated that Tariq bin Shihab said: Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: Whoever among you sees an evil and changes it with his hand, then he has done his duty. Whoever is unable to do that, but changes it with his tongue, then he has done his duty. Whoever is unable to do that, but changes it with his heart, then he has done his duty, and that is the weakest of Faith.'
