Translation

It was narrated that sulaiman bin Yasar said: Five (fingers i.e., the hand) should not be cut off except for five. Hammam said: I met 'Abdullah Ad-Danaj and he narrated to me that Sulaiman bin Yasar said: Five should not be cut off except for five. (Sahih Maqtu)

قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَسَمِعْتُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَسَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ يَزْعُمُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَمْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏تَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ تُحَدِّثُ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تُقْطَعُ الْيَدُ إِلَّا فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَمَا فَوْقَهُ .

سلیمان بن یسار کہتے ہیں کہ پانچ انگلیوں یعنی ہاتھ کو نہیں کاٹا جائے گا مگر پانچ درہم میں۔ ہمام کہتے ہیں: میں عبداللہ داناج سے ملا، انہوں نے سلیمان بن یسار سے روایت کرتے ہوئے بیان کیا کہ انہوں نے کہا: پانچ کو پانچ میں ہی کاٹا جائے گا۔ یعنی ہاتھ پانچ درہم میں کاٹا جائے گا۔
