Abdullah bin 'Umar narrated that: the Prophet cut off the hand of a thief, who stole a shield, from a portico allocated to women, the price of which was three Dirhams.

أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ نَافِعًا حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ قَطَعَ يَدَ سَارِقٍ سَرَقَ تُرْسًا مِنْ صُفَّةِ النِّسَاءِ ثَمَنُهُ ثَلَاثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ .

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک چور کا ہاتھ کاٹا جس نے عورتوں کے چبوترے سے ایک ڈھال چرائی، جس کی قیمت تین درہم تھی۔
