It was narrated from Salim bin abi Ja'd that: Ibn 'Abbas was asked about someone who killed a believer deliberately then he repented, believed and did righteous deeds, and followed true guidance. Ibn 'Abbas said: There is no way he could repent! I heard your Prophet say; He (the victim) will come hanging onto his killer with his jugular veins flowing with blood and saying: Ask him why he killed me. Then he said: by Allah, Allah revealed it and never abrogated anything of it.

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمَّارٍ الدُّهْنِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ سُئِلَ عَمَّنْ قَتَلَ مُؤْمِنًا مُتَعَمِّدًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ تَابَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ اهْتَدَى ؟ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ:‏‏‏‏ وَأَنَّى لَهُ التَّوْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سَمِعْتُ نَبِيَّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ يَجِيءُ مُتَعَلِّقًا بِالْقَاتِلِ تَشْخَبُ أَوْدَاجُهُ دَمًا يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ سَلْ هَذَا فِيمَ قَتَلَنِي ؟ ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ أَنْزَلَهَا وَمَا نَسَخَهَا.

سالم بن ابی الجعد کہتے ہیں کہ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے اس شخص کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا جس نے کسی مومن کو جان بوجھ کر قتل کیا پھر توبہ کی، ایمان لایا، عمل صالح کیا اور ہدایت پائی؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: اس کی توبہ کہاں قبول ہو گی؟ میں نے تمہارے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ہے: ”مقتول ( قیامت کے روز ) قاتل کو پکڑ کر لائے گا، اس کی رگوں سے خون بہہ رہا ہو گا، وہ کہے گا: اے اللہ! اس سے پوچھ، اس نے کس جرم میں مجھے قتل کیا تھا“، پھر ابن عباس نے کہا: یہ حکم اللہ تعالیٰ نے نازل فرمایا اور اسے منسوخ نہیں کیا۔

It was narrated that 'Ubaidullah bin abi Bakr said: I heard Ana's say: 'The Messenger of Allah said: 'the major sins are; associating others with Allah (shirk), disobeying one's parents, killing a soul (murder) and speaking falsely.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'No one who commits Zina is a believer at the moment when he is committing Zina, and no one who drinks wine is a believer at the moment when he is drinking it, and no thief is a believer at the moment when he is stealing, and no killer is a believer at the moment he is killing

It was narrated from abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: No one who commits Zina is a believer at the moment when he is committing Zina; no one who steals is a believe at the moment when he is stealing; no one who drinks wine is a believer at the moment when he is drinking it; and no robber is a believer at the moment when he is robbing and the people are looking on.

It was narrated from abu Hurairah that the Prophet - and Ahmad said in his Hadith: The Messenger of Allah said: 'No one who commits Zina is a believer at the moment when he is committing Zina; no one who steals is a believer at the moment when he is stealing; no one who drinks wine is a believer at the moment when he is drinking it; but repentance is available to him after that.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: No one who commits Zina is a believer at the moment when he is committing Zina; no one who steals is a believer at the moment when he is stealing; no one who drinks wine is a believer at the moment when he is drinking it. - And he mentioned a fourth but I (the narrator) have forgotten it - When he does that the yoke of Islam is shed from his neck, but if he repents, Allah accepts his repentance.
