Translation

Arabic, english and urdu

It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father, from his grandfather, that: the Messenger of Allah ruled that one-third of the Diyah should be paid for a sightless eye that looks fine, if it is destroyed; one-third of the Diyah should be paid for a paralyzed hand if it is cut off; and one-third of the Diyah should be paid for a black tooth if it is knocked out.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ عَائِذٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلَاءُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَدِّهِ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ قَضَى فِي الْعَيْنِ الْعَوْرَاءِ السَّادَّةِ لِمَكَانِهَا إِذَا طُمِسَتْ بِثُلُثِ دِيَتِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي الْيَدِ الشَّلَّاءِ إِذَا قُطِعَتْ بِثُلُثِ دِيَتِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي السِّنِّ السَّوْدَاءِ إِذَا نُزِعَتْ بِثُلُثِ دِيَتِهَا .

عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس آنکھ کے بارے میں جس سے نظر نہ آتا ہو اور وہ اپنی جگہ پر ہو پھر اگر کوئی اسے پھوڑ دے یا نکال دے تو صحیح سالم آنکھ کی تہائی دیت کا فیصلہ فرمایا، اور شل ہاتھ جب کاٹ دیا جائے تو اس میں صحیح سالم ہاتھ کی دیت کے تہائی کا، اور کالے دانت میں جب وہ اکھاڑ دیا جائے تو صحیح سالم دانت کی تہائی دیت کا فیصلہ فرمایا۔
