It was narrated that Anas said: A case requiring Qisas was brought to the Messenger of Allah and he enjoined them to pardon.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قِصَاصٍ فَأَمَرَ فِيهِ بِالْعَفْوِ .

انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس قصاص کا ایک معاملہ آیا تو آپ نے اسے معاف کر دینے کا حکم دیا ۱؎۔

Whoever kills deliberately, then retaliation is upon him, and whoever tries to prevent that, upon him is the curse of Allah, the Angels, and all the people, and neither Sarf nor Adl will be accepted from him.
