It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father, that his grandfather said: The Messenger of Allah forbade lending on the condition of a sale, selling what you do not have, and profiting on what you do not possess.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ جَدِّهِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ سَلَفٍ وَبَيْعٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَنْ شَرْطَيْنِ فِي بَيْعٍ وَاحِدٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَنْ رِبْحِ مَا لَمْ يُضْمَنْ .
عبداللہ بن عمرو بن عاص رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سلف ( قرض ) اور بیع ایک ساتھ کرنے سے، ایک ہی بیع میں دو شرطیں لگانے سے، اور اس چیز کے بیچنے سے جو تمہارے پاس موجود نہ ہو اور ایسی چیز کے نفع سے جس کے تاوان کی ذمہ داری نہ ہو، ( ان سب سے ) منع فرمایا۔

And whoever buys a slave who has wealth, his wealth belongs to the seller, unless the purchaser has stipulated otherwise. (sahih)

It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: I was with the Prophet on a journey, and my camel got tired. I thought I wanted to let it go, but the Messenger of Allah met me and prayed for it (the camel) and hit it. Then it started to run like never before. He said: 'Sell it to me for one Uwqyah.' I said 'No.' He said: 'Sell it to me.' So I sold it to him for one Uwqiyah but stipulated an exception, to ride it until we reached al-Madinah. When we reached Al-Medina, I brought the camel to him and asked him for its price, then I went back. He sent word to me saying; 'Do you think I bargained with you to take your camel?' Take your camel and your Dirhams.
