Zaid bin Thabit narrated that: the Messenger of Allah granted a concession allowing 'Araya sales for dried dates by estimation.

حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ نَافِعٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ رَخَّصَ فِي بَيْعِ الْعَرِيَّةِ بِخِرْصِهَا تَمْرًا .

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ مجھ سے زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بیع عریہ کی اجازت دی کہ اس ( کی تازہ کھجوروں کو ) اندازہ لگا کر کے خشک کھجوروں کے بدلے بیچی ( جا سکتی ) ہے۔
