It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that: the Messenger of Allah forbade meeting traders on the way.

أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ نَافِعٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى عَنِ التَّلَقِّي .

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے تجارتی قافلے سے آگے جا کر ملنے سے منع فرمایا۔
