Ali said: Messenger of Allah forbade us from sacrificing an animal with a broken horn. I (the narrator) mentioned that to Sa'eed bin Al_Musayyab and he said: Yes, m unless half or more of the horn is missing.

أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفَيَانَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جُرَيِّ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُضَحَّى بِأَعْضَبِ الْقَرْنِ . فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا عَضَبَ النِّصْفِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ.

علی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سینگ ٹوٹے جانور کو ذبح کرنے سے منع فرمایا ہے۔ ( راوی قتادہ کہتے ہیں ) : میں نے اس کا ذکر سعید بن مسیب سے کیا تو انہوں نے کہا: ہاں، جس جانور کا آدھا سینگ یا اس سے زیادہ ٹوٹا ہو ۱؎۔

Then the Messenger of Allah said: A Jadh'ah is sufficient for that for which a Thani is sufficient.
