أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنَّا نَأْكُلُ لُحُومَ الْخَيْلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ الْبِغَالَ ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا .

جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم لوگ گھوڑوں کا گوشت کھاتے تھے، عطاء کہتے ہیں: میں نے کہا: خچر؟ کہا: نہیں ۱؎۔
