Translation

Arabic, english and urdu

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: Look at how Allah diverts the insults and curses of Quraish from me. They insult 'Mudhammam' and curse 'Mudhammam' -but I am Muhammad.

أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي شُعَيْبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزِّنَادِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مِمَّا حَدَّثَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مِمَّا ذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ انْظُرُوا كَيْفَ يَصْرِفُ اللَّهُ عَنِّي شَتْمَ قُرَيْشٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَعْنَهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّهُمْ يَشْتِمُونَ مُذَمَّمًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَلْعَنُونَ مُذَمَّمًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ .

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ذرا دیکھو تو ( غور کرو ) اللہ تعالیٰ قریش کی گالیوں اور لعنتوں سے مجھے کس طرح بچا لیتا ہے، وہ لوگ مجھے مذمم کہہ کر گالیاں دیتے اور مذمم کہہ کر مجھ پر لعنت بھیجتے ہیں اور میں محمد ہوں“ ۱؎۔

It was narrated that 'Aishah, the wife of the Prophet, said: When the Messenger of Allah was commanded to give his wives the choice, he started with me and said: 'I am going to say something to you and you do not have to rush (to make a decision) until you consult your parents.' She said: He knew that my parents would never tell me to leave him. She said: Then he recited this Verse: 'O Prophet! Say to your wives: If you desire the life of this world, and its glitter, then come! I will make a provision for you and set you free in a handsome manner.' I said: 'Do I need to consult my parents concerning this? I desire Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, and His Messenger, and the home of the Hereafter.' 'Aishah said: Then the wives of the Prophet all did the same as I did, and that was not counted as a divorce, when the Messenger of Allah gave them the choice and they chose him.
