Translation

It was narrated from Yazid bin Al-Bara' that his father said: I met my maternal uncle who was carrying a flag (for an expedition) and I said: 'Where are you going?' He said: 'The Messenger of Allah is sending me to a man who has married his father's wife, and he has commanded me to strike his neck (kill him) and seize his wealth.'

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْبَرَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَصَبْتُ عَمِّي وَمَعَهُ رَايَةٌ فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ ؟ بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ نَكَحَ امْرَأَةَ أَبِيهِ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَضْرِبَ عُنُقَهُ وَآخُذَ مَالَهُ .

براء رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں اپنے چچا سے ملا، ان کے پاس ایک جھنڈا تھا میں نے ان سے کہا: آپ کہاں جا رہے ہیں؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: مجھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک ایسے شخص کے پاس بھیجا ہے جس نے اپنے باپ کی بیوی سے شادی کر لی ہے۔ مجھے آپ نے حکم دیا ہے کہ میں اس کی گردن اڑا دوں اور اس کا مال اپنے قبضہ میں کر لوں ۱؎۔

It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri that the Prophet of Allah sent an army to Awtas. They met the enemy, fought them, and prevailed over them. They acquired female prisoners who had husbands among the idolaters. The Muslims felt reluctant to be intimate with them. Then Allah, the Mighty and Sublime revealed: Also (forbidden are) women already married, except those (slaves) whom your right hands possess, meaning, this is permissible for you once they have completed their 'Iddah.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah forbade Ash-Shighar. Ash-Shighar means when a man marries his daughter to another man, on the condition that that man marries his daughter to him, and no dowry is exchanged between them.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah forbade Ash-Shighar. (One of the narrators) 'Ubaidullah said: Ash-Shighar means when a man gives his daughter in marriage on condition that (the other man) gives him his sister in marriage.
