Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that a man came to the Messenger of Allah and said: I have a wife who is one of the most beloved of the people to me, but she does not object if anyone touches her. He said: Divorce her. He said: I cannot do without her. He said: Then stay with her as much as you need to.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ،‏‏‏‏ وَغَيْرُهُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ رِئَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَهَارُونُ لَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ عِنْدِي امْرَأَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏هِيَ مِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهِيَ لَا تَمْنَعُ يَدَ لَامِسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ طَلِّقْهَا ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا أَصْبِرُ عَنْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اسْتَمْتِعْ بِهَا ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَيْسَ بِثَابِتٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهَارُونُ بْنُ رِئَابٍ أَثْبَتُ مِنْهُ،‏‏‏‏ وَقَدْ أَرْسَلَ الْحَدِيثَ وَهَارُونُ ثِقَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَدِيثُهُ أَوْلَى بِالصَّوَابِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ ایک آدمی نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آ کر کہا: میری ایک بیوی ہے جو مجھے سبھی لوگوں سے زیادہ محبوب ہے مگر خرابی یہ ہے کہ وہ کسی کو ہاتھ لگانے سے نہیں روکتی ۱؎، آپ نے فرمایا: ”اسے طلاق دے دو“، اس نے کہا: میں اس کے بغیر رہ نہ پاؤں گا۔ تو آپ نے کہا: پھر تو تم اس سے فائدہ اٹھاؤ ( اور وہ جو دوسروں کو تیرا مال لے لینے دیتی ہے، اسے نظر انداز کر دے ) ۔ ابوعبدالرحمٰن نسائی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث ( صحیح ) ثابت نہیں ہے، عبدالکریم ( راوی ) زیادہ قوی نہیں ہے اور ہارون بن رئاب ( راوی ) عبدالکریم سے زیادہ قوی راوی ہیں۔ انہوں نے اس حدیث کو مرسل بیان کیا ہے ہارون ثقہ راوی ہیں اور ان کی حدیث عبدالکریم کی حدیث کے مقابل میں زیادہ صحیح اور درست لگتی ہے۔

Narrated Abu Hurairah: It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet said: Women are married for four things: their wealth, their nobility, their beauty and their religious commitment. Choose the one who is religiously committed, may your hands be rubbed with dust.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: It was said to the Messenger of Allah: 'Which woman is best?' He said: 'The one who makes him happy when he looks at her, obeys him when he commands her, and she does not go against his wishes with regard to herself nor her wealth.'

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As: It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As that the Messenger of Allah said: This world is all temporary conveniences, and the best temporary convenience of this world is a righteous woman.

Narrated Anas: It was narrated from Anas that they said: O Messenger of Allah, why don't you marry a woman from the Ansar? He said: They are very jealous.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: A man proposed to a woman from among the Ansar and the Messenger of Allah said to him: 'Have you seen her?' He said: 'No.' So he told him to look at her.

Narrated Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah: It was narrated that Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah said: I proposed marriage to a woman during the time of the Messenger of Allah, and the Prophet said: 'Have you seen her?' I said: 'No.' He said: 'Look at her, for that is more likely to create love between you.'
