It was narrated that Abu Wail said: As-subai bin Mabad said: 'I was a Christian Bedouin, then I became Muslim. I was keen to go for Jihad but I learned that Hajj and Umrah had been enjoined on me, I went to a man of my clan who was called Huraim bin 'Abdullah and asked him, and he said: Put them together, then slaughter whatever you can of the Hadi, so I entered Ihram for bother together, and when I came to al-'Udhaib, I was met by Salman bin Rabiah and Zaid bin Suhan, while I was uttering the Talbiyah for bothe. One of them said to the other: He does not understand more than his camel!: I came to 'Umar and said: O Commander of the Believers! I have become Muslim and I am keen to go for Jihad, but I learned that Hajj and Umrah were enjoined on me, so I went to Huraim bin 'Abdullah and said: Hey you! I have learned that Hajj, and 'Umrah have been enjoined on me. He said: 'Put them together then slaughter whatever you can of the Jade' so I entered Ihram for both together, and when I came to Al-Udhaib I was met by Salman bin Rabiah and Zaid bin Suhan, and one of them said to the other: 'He does not understand more than his camel,''' 'Umar said: You have been guided to the Sunnah of your Prophet

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا جَرِيرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ الصُّبَيُّ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ:‏‏‏‏ كُنْتُ أَعْرَابِيًّا نَصْرَانِيًّا فَأَسْلَمْتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَكُنْتُ حَرِيصًا عَلَى الْجِهَادِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَوَجَدْتُ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ مَكْتُوبَيْنِ عَلَيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَتَيْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْ عَشِيرَتِي يُقَالُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ هُرَيْمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اجْمَعْهُمَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ اذْبَحْ مَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَهْلَلْتُ بِهِمَا فَلَمَّا أَتَيْتُ الْعُذَيْبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَقِيَنِي سَلْمَانُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَزَيْدُ بْنُ صُوحَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنَا أُهِلُّ بِهِمَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِلْآخَرِ:‏‏‏‏ مَا هَذَا بِأَفْقَهَ مِنْ بَعِيرِهِ فَأَتَيْتُ عُمَرَ فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِنِّي أَسْلَمْتُ وَأَنَا حَرِيصٌ عَلَى الْجِهَادِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنِّي وَجَدْتُ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ مَكْتُوبَيْنِ عَلَيَّ فَأَتَيْتُ هُرَيْمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا هَنَاهْ إِنِّي وَجَدْتُ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ مَكْتُوبَيْنِ عَلَيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اجْمَعْهُمَا ثُمَّ اذْبَحْ مَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَهْلَلْتُ بِهِمَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا أَتَيْنَا الْعُذَيْبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَقِيَنِي سَلْمَانُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَزَيْدُ بْنُ صُوحَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِلْآخَرِ:‏‏‏‏ مَا هَذَا بِأَفْقَهَ مِنْ بَعِيرِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ عُمَرُ:‏‏‏‏ هُدِيتَ لِسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

صبی بن معبد رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں ایک نصرانی بدوی تھا تو میں مسلمان ہو گیا اور جہاد کا حریص تھا، مجھے پتہ لگا کہ حج و عمرہ دونوں مجھ پر فرض ہیں، تو میں اپنے خاندان کے ایک شخص کے پاس آیا جسے ھریم بن عبداللہ کہا جاتا تھا، میں نے اس سے پوچھا ( کیا کریں ) تو اس نے کہا: دونوں ایک ساتھ کر لو۔ پھر جو ہدی ( قربانی ) بھی تمہیں میسر ہو اسے ذبح کر ڈالو، تو میں نے ( حج و عمرہ ) دونوں کا احرام باندھ لیا، پھر جب میں عذیب ۱؎ پہنچا، تو وہاں مجھے سلمان بن ربیعہ اور زید بن صوحان ملے، میں اس وقت حج و عمرہ دونوں کے نام سے لبیک پکار رہا تھا ۲؎ ان دونوں میں سے ایک نے دوسرے سے کہا: یہ شخص اپنے اونٹ سے زیادہ سمجھدار نہیں، ( یہ سن کر ) میں عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس آیا اور میں نے اُن سے کہا: امیر المؤمنین! میں مسلمان ہو گیا ہوں، اور میں جہاد کا حریص ہوں، اور میں نے حج و عمرہ دونوں کو اپنے اوپر فرض پایا، تو میں ہریم بن عبداللہ کے پاس آیا، اور میں نے ان سے کہا: حج و عمرہ دونوں مجھ پر فرض ہیں، انہوں نے کہا: دونوں ایک ساتھ کر ڈالو، اور جو جانور تمہیں میسر ہو اس کی قربانی کر لو، تو میں نے دونوں کا احرام باندھ لیا، جب میں عذیب پہنچا تو مجھے سلمان بن ربیعہ اور زید بن صوحان ملے، تو ان میں سے ایک دوسرے سے کہنے لگا: یہ اپنے اونٹ سے زیادہ سمجھ دار نہیں ہے، اس پر عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: تمہیں اپنے نبی کی سنت کی توفیق ملی ہے ۳؎۔

It was narrated that Marwan bin Al-Hakam said: I was sitting with 'Uthan and he heard 'Ali reciting the Talbiyah for Umrah and Hajj (together). He said 'Were you not forbidden to do this?' He said: 'Yes, but I heard the Messenger of Allah reciting the Talbiyah for them together, and I will not igore what the Messenger of Allah said in favor of what you say.''
