It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that: a man asked the Messenger of Allah what garments we should wear when we enter Ihram. He said: Do not wear shirts, or pants, or 'Imamahs, or burnouses, or Khuffs unless someone does not have any sandals, in which case he should wear Khuffs that come beneath the ankles. And do not wear any garment that has been touched by (dyed with) Wars or saffron.

أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ هَارُونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مَا نَلْبَسُ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ إِذَا أَحْرَمْنَا ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْقَمِيصَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَاتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا الْعَمَائِمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا الْبَرَانِسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا الْخِفَافَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ أَحَدٌ لَيْسَتْ لَهُ نَعْلَانِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ الْخُفَّيْنِ أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا تَلْبَسُوا مِنَ الثِّيَابِ شَيْئًا مَسَّهُ وَرْسٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا زَعْفَرَانٌ .

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سوال کیا: جب ہم احرام باندھیں تو کون سے کپڑے پہنیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: نہ قمیص پہنو، نہ پائجامے، نہ عمامے، نہ ٹوپیاں، نہ موزے، البتہ کسی کے پاس جوتے نہ ہوں تو وہ ایسے موزے پہنے جو ٹخنوں سے نیچے ہو، اور نہ کوئی ایسا کپڑا پہنو جس میں ورس زعفران لگے ہوں۔

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said; A man came to the Prophet and said: 'What should we wear when we enter Ihram?' It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: I heard the Messenger of Allah say; 'If you cannot find an Izar then wear pants, and if you cannot find sandals then wear khuffs, but cut them so that they come lower than the ankles.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that a man stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah! What garments do you command us to wear in Ihram? The Messenger of Allah said; Do not wear shirts, or pants, or Khuffs unless a man does not have any sandals, in which case he may wear Khuffs that come lower than the ankles. And do not wear any garment that has been touched by (dyed with) saffron or Wars. And a woman in Ihram should not cover her face or wear gloves.
