It was narrated from Abu Dharr that the Prophet said: There are three to whom Allah will not speak on the Day of Resurrection, or look at them, or sanctify them, and theirs will be a painful torment. The Messenger of Allah repeated and Abu Dharr said: May they be lost and doomed. He said: The one who lets his garment hang beneath his ankles, a vendor who tries to sell his product by means of false oaths, and the one who reminds people of what he has given them.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُدْرِكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خَرَشَةَ بْنِ الْحُرِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَرَأَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ:‏‏‏‏ خَابُوا وَخَسِرُوا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏خَابُوا وَخَسِرُوا،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْمُسْبِلُ إِزَارَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْمُنَفِّقُ سِلْعَتَهُ بِالْحَلِفِ الْكَاذِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْمَنَّانُ عَطَاءَهُ .
ابوذر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تین شخص ایسے ہیں جن سے اللہ تعالیٰ قیامت کے دن نہ بات کرے گا، نہ ان کی طرف دیکھے گا، نہ ان کو پاک کرے گا، اور ان کے لیے درد ناک عذاب ہو گا“، پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہی آیت پڑھی۔ تو ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: وہ لوگ نامراد ہوئے، گھاٹے میں رہے، آپ نے فرمایا: ” ( وہ تین یہ ہیں ) اپنا تہبند ٹخنے کے نیچے لٹکانے والا، جھوٹی قسمیں کھا کھا کر اپنے سامان کو رواج دینے والا، اپنے دیے ہوئے کا احسان جتانے والا“۔

I am a man who does not know anything except that which Allah and His Messenger teach me. I ask you by the face of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, with what has your Lord sent you to us? He said: 'With Islam.' I said: What are the signs of Islam? He said; To say: I submit my face to Allah and give up Shirk, and, to establish the Salah and to pay Zakah. Each Muslim is sacred and inviolable to his fellow Muslim; they support one another. Allah does not accept my deed from an idolater after he becomes a Muslim, until he departs from the idolaters and joins the Muslims. '
