It was narrated that Abu Salamah said: I asked 'Aishah about how the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed Ghusl from Janabah. She said: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pour water onto his hands three times, then he would wash his private part, then he would wash his hands, then rinse his mouth and nose, then pour water onto his head three times, then pour water over the rest of his body.'

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُعَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْ غُسْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُفْرِغُ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ يَغْسِلُ فَرْجَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ يَغْسِلُ يَدَيْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ يُمَضْمِضُ وَيَسْتَنْشِقُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ يُفْرِغُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ يُفِيضُ عَلَى سَائِرِ جَسَدِهِ .

ابوسلمہ بن عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف زہری مدنی کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے غسل جنابت کے متعلق پوچھا؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں پر تین دفعہ پانی ڈالتے، پھر اپنی شرمگاہ دھوتے، پھر اپنے دونوں ہاتھ دھوتے، پھر کلی کرتے اور ناک میں پانی ڈالتے، پھر اپنے سر پر تین بار پانی ڈالتے، پھر اپنے پورے جسم پر پانی بہاتے۔

Abu Salamah (narrated) that he entered upon 'Aishah and asked her about the Ghusl of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) from Janabah. She said: A vessel would be brought to the prophet (ﷺ) then he would pour water on his hand three times and wash them, then he would pour water with his right hand onto his left and wash off whatever was on his thighs. Then he would wash his hands, rinse his mouth and nose, pour water on his head three times, then pour water over the rest of his body.

It was narrated that Abu Salamah bin 'Abdur-Rahman said: Aishah described how the Prophet (ﷺ) performed Ghusl for Janabah. She said: 'He used to wash his hands three times, then pour water with his right hand onto his left and wash his private part and whatever was on it.' - (One of the narrators) 'Umar said: I think he said: 'He would pour water with his right hand onto his left hand three times.' - Then he would rinse his mouth three times and his nose three times, and wash his face and hands three times, then he would pour water over his head three times, then pour water over himself.'

It was narrated from 'Aishah that when the Prophet (ﷺ) performed Ghusl from Janabah he would start by washing his hands, then he would perform Wudu' as for prayer, then he would dip his fingers in the water, then run them through his hair, then he would pour water over his head three times, then he would pour water over his entire body.

Aishah narrated concerning the Ghusl of the Prophet (ﷺ) from Janabah, that he used to wash his hands and perform Wudu', then he would run (his fingers) through his (hair on his) head so that it reaches all of his hair, then he would pour water over his entire body.

It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to soak his head, then he would pour water over it three times.

It was narrated that Jubair bin Mut'im said: They argued about Ghusl in the presence of the messenger of Allah (ﷺ). One of the people said: 'I perform Ghusl in such-and-such a manner.' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'As for me, I pour three handfuls of water over my head.'
