It was narrated from Hafsah that the Prophet said: Whoever does not intend to fast before dawn comes, should not fast. (Daif)

أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَشْهَبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ،‏‏‏‏ وَذَكَرَ آخَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ حَدَّثَهُمَا،‏‏‏‏ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ لَمْ يُجْمِعِ الصِّيَامَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الْفَجْرِ فَلَا يَصُومُ .

ام المؤمنین حفصہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جو شخص روزہ کا پختہ ارادہ طلوع فجر سے پہلے نہ کر لے تو وہ روزہ نہ رکھے“۔
