Translation

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: Fatimah bint Abi Hubaish said to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): 'O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), I do not become pure. Should I stop praying? The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'That is a vein and is not menstruation. When your period comes, stop praying, and when the same amount of time as your regular period has passed, then wash the blood from yourself and pray.'

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قالت:‏‏‏‏ قالت فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا أَطْهُرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَفَأَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ عِرْقٌ وَلَيْسَتْ بِالْحَيْضَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ قَدْرُهَا فَاغْسِلِي عَنْكِ الدَّمَ وَصَلِّي .

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ فاطمہ بنت ابوحبیش رضی اللہ عنہا نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میں پاک نہیں رہ پاتی ہوں، کیا میں نماز چھوڑ دوں؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ تو ایک رگ ( کا خون ) ہے، حیض کا خون نہیں ہے، جب حیض کا خون آئے تو نماز چھوڑ دو، پھر جب اس کے بقدر ایام گزر جائیں تو خون دھو لو، اور ( غسل کر کے ) نماز پڑھو ۔

Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'None of you should perform Ghusl in standing water when he is Junub.'

It was narrated from Ghudaif bin Al-Harith that he asked 'Aishah in which part of the night would the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) perform Ghusl? She said: Sometimes he performed Ghusl at the beginning of the night and sometimes he performed Ghusl at the end. I said: Praise be to Allah Who has made the matter flexible.

It was narrated that Ghudaif bin Al-Harith said: I entered upon 'Aishah and asked her: 'Did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) perform Ghusl at the beginning of the night or at the end?' She said: 'Both. Sometimes he performed Ghusl at the beginning and sometimes at the end.' I said: 'Praise be to Allah who has made the matter flexible.'

Abu As-Samh said: I used to serve the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and when he wanted to perform Ghusl he said: 'Turn your back.' So I turned my back to him and concealed him.
