Zirr bin Hubaish said: I had Sahur with Hudhaifah, then we went out to pray. When we came to the Masjid we prayed two Rakahs, then the Iqamah for prayer was said, and there was only a short time between them. Abu Hurairah said : The Messenger of Allah said: 'Eat Sahur, for in Sahur there is blessing.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَدِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ زِرَّ بْنَ حُبَيْشٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ تَسَحَّرْتُ مَعَ حُذَيْفَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ خَرَجْنَا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا أَتَيْنَا الْمَسْجِدَ صَلَّيْنَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ وَلَيْسَ بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا هُنَيْهَةٌ .

زر بن حبیش کہتے ہیں میں نے حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ سحری کھائی، پھر ہم نماز کے لیے نکلے، تو جب ہم مسجد پہنچے تو دو رکعت سنت پڑھی ہی تھی کہ نماز شروع ہو گئی، اور ان دونوں کے درمیان ذرا سا ہی وقفہ رہا۔
