Urwah bin Az-Zubair said: When he was the governor of Al-Madinah, Marwan mentioned that a man should perform Wudu' after touching his penis, if he touches it iwth his hand. I did not like that and I said: 'The one who touches it does not have to perform Wudu'.' Marwan said: 'Busrah bint Safwan told me that she heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) mention the things for which Wudu' should be performed, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Wudu' should be performed after touching the penis.' 'Urwah said: 'I continued to argue with Marwan until he called one of his guards and sent him to Busrah to ask her about what Marwan had narrated, and Busrah sent word saying something like that which Marwan had narrated to me from her.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ ذَكَرَ مَرْوَانُ فِي إِمَارَتِهِ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ أَنَّهُ يُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ إِذَا أَفْضَى إِلَيْهِ الرَّجُلُ بِيَدِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَنْكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ وَقُلْتُ لَا وُضُوءَ عَلَى مَنْ مَسَّهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ مَرْوَانُ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَتْنِيبُسْرَةُ بِنْتُ صَفْوَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ذَكَرَ مَا يُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ وَيُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ . قَالَ عُرْوَةُ:‏‏‏‏ فَلَمْ أَزَلْ أُمَارِي مَرْوَانَ حَتَّى دَعَا رَجُلًا مِنْ حَرَسِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَرْسَلَهُ إِلَى بُسْرَةَ فَسَأَلَهَا عَمَّا حَدَّثَتْ مَرْوَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ بُسْرَةُ بِمِثْلِ الَّذِي حَدَّثَنِي عَنْهَا مَرْوَانُ.

عروہ بن زبیر کہتے ہیں کہ مروان نے اپنی مدینہ کی امارت کے دوران ذکر کیا کہ عضو تناسل کے چھونے سے وضو کیا جائے گا، جب اس تک آدمی اپنا ہاتھ لے جائے، تو میں نے اس کا انکار کیا اور کہا: جو عضو تناسل چھوئے اس پر وضو نہیں ہے، تو مروان نے کہا: مجھے بسرہ بنت صفوان رضی اللہ عنہا نے خبر دی ہے کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا آپ نے ان چیزوں کا ذکر کیا جن سے وضو کیا جاتا ہے، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اور عضو تناسل چھونے سے ( بھی ) وضو کیا جائے گا ، عروہ کہتے ہیں: میں مروان سے برابر جھگڑتا رہا، یہاں تک کہ انہوں نے اپنے ایک دربان کو بلایا اور اسے بسرہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس بھیجا، چنانچہ اس نے مروان سے بیان کی ہوئی حدیث کے بارے میں بسرہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے دریافت کیا، تو بسرہ نے اسی طرح کی بات کہلا بھیجی جو مروان نے ان کے واسطے سے مجھ سے بیان کی تھی۔

It was narrated that Talq bin 'Ali said: We went out as a delegation and when we arrived with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) he accepted our oath of allegiance and we prayed with him. When he had finished the prayer, a man who looked like a Bedouin came to him and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what do you think about a man who touched his penis during the Salah?' He said: 'It is just a part of you,' or 'a piece of you.'

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray when I was lying in front of him as the bier is placed (in front of the Imam), and when he wanted to pray Witr he would nudge me with his foot.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: I remember lying in front of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was praying. When he wanted to prostrate he would nudge my foot and I would draw it up (out of the way) until he had finished prostrating.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: I used to sleep in front of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and my feet were in the direction of his Qiblah. When he prostrated he nudged me and I drew up my feet, then when he stood up I stretched them out again. And there were no lamps in the houses at the time.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that 'Aishah said: I noticed the Prophet (ﷺ) was not there one night, so I started looking for him with my hand. My hand touched his feet and they were held upright, and he was prostrating and saying: 'I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your anger, in Your forgiveness from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot praise You enough, You are as You have praised yourself.'

It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to kiss one of his wives then pray without performing Wudu'. Abu 'Abdur-Rahman said: There is nothing for this chapter which is better than this hadith, even though it is Mursal. And Al-A'mash reported this Hadith from Habib bin Abi Thabit, from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah. Yahya Al-Qattan said: This is the Hadith of Habib from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah. And the Hadith of Habib from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah: She prays even if blood drips on the mat is nothing.
