It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) set out from Makkah to Al-Madinah, fearing nothing but the Lord of the worlds, and praying two rak'ahs.
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ لَا يَخَافُ إِلَّا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ .
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہم سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مکہ سے مدینہ کے لیے نکلے، آپ صرف رب العالمین سے ہی ڈر رہے تھے ۱؎  ( اس کے باوجود )  آپ  ( راستہ بھر )  دو رکعتیں ہی پڑھتے رہے۔
