It was narrated that Maimunah said: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prostrated, he would hold his arms out to his sides, so that the whiteness of his armpits could be seen from behind. And when he sat he rested on his left thigh.
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ دُحَيْمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْأَصَمِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قالت:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا سَجَدَ خَوَّى بِيَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُرَى وَضَحَ إِبْطَيْهِ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَإِذَا قَعَدَ اطْمَأَنَّ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى .
ام المؤمنین میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب سجدہ کرتے تو اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اپنے پہلو سے جدا رکھتے یہاں تک کہ آپ کے پیچھے آپ کے بغل کی سفیدی نظر آتی، اور جب بیٹھتے تو اپنی بائیں ران زمین پر لگا کر بیٹھتے۔

Then he said the takbir when he went down in prostration, then he said the takbir when he raised his head, and he did that throughout the entire prayer until he finished it, and he said the takbir when he stood up after the first two rak'ahs, after sitting.

It was narrated that Abi Qibalah said: Abu Sulaiman Malik bin Al-Huwairith came to our masjid and said: I want to show you how I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) pray.' He said: He sat during the first Rak'ah when he raised his head from the second prostration.

He was praying at a time other than the time of prayer, and when he raised his head from the second prostration in the first rak'ah, he settled in a seated position, then he stood up, and he supported himself on the ground (while doing so).
