Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to make supplication during the prayer saying: O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from the punishment of the grave; I seek refuge in Thee from the trial of the Antichrist; I seek refuge in Thee from the trial of life and the trial of death; O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from sin and debt. Someone said to him: How often you seek refuge from debt! He replied: When a man is in debt, he talks and tells lies, makes promises and breaks them.
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَدْعُو فِي صَلَاتِهِ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْمَأْثَمِ وَالْمَغْرَمِ فَقَالَ لَهُ قَائِلٌ:‏‏‏‏ مَا أَكْثَرَ مَا تَسْتَعِيذُ مِنَ الْمَغْرَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ إِذَا غَرِمَ حَدَّثَ فَكَذَبَ وَوَعَدَ فَأَخْلَفَ .
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے خبر دی ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنی نماز میں یہ دعا کرتے تھے: «اللهم إني أعوذ بك من عذاب القبر وأعوذ بك من فتنة المسيح الدجال وأعوذ بك من فتنة المحيا والممات اللهم إني أعوذ بك من المأثم والمغرم»یعنی اے اللہ! میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں قبر کے عذاب سے، میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں مسیح ( کانے ) دجال کے فتنہ سے، اور میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں زندگی اور موت کے فتنہ سے، اے اللہ! میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں گناہ اور قرض سے تو ایک شخص نے آپ سے عرض کیا: ( اللہ کے رسول! ) آپ قرض سے کس قدر پناہ مانگتے ہیں؟ اس پر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: آدمی جب قرض دار ہوتا ہے، بات کرتا ہے، تو جھوٹ بولتا ہے اور وعدہ کرتا ہے، تو اس کے خلاف کرتا ہے ۔

Narrated Abu Layla al-Ansari: I prayed by the side of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم in the supererogatory prayer and I heard him say: I refuge in Allah from the Hell-Fire; woe to the inmates of the Hell-fire!

Abu Hurairah said; The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم got up for the prayer and we also stood up along with him. A Bedouin said said during prayer; O Allah, show mercy to me and to Muhammed and do not show mercy to anyone along with us. When the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم uttered the salutation, he said to the Bedouin; you narrowed down a vast (thing). By this he meant the mercy of Allah.

Ibn Abbas reported; when the prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم recited: “Glorify the name of thy Lord, the Most High. ” He would say: ”Glory be to Allah, the most High”. Abu Dawud said; In this tradition the other narrators have differed from the narrator Wakl. This has been narrated by Wakl, and Shubah from Abu Ishaq, from Sa’ld bin Jubair, from Ibn Abbas as his own statement (and not from the Prophet)

Aishah said: A man used to pray on the roof of his house. When he recited the verse “Is not He able to bring the dead to life?” [Surah al-Qiyamah: 42] he would say: ”Glory be to You, then, why not?” the prophet asked him about it. He replied: I heard it from the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. Abu Dawud said: Ahmad (b. Hanbal) said: It is pleasing to me that one should recite in the obligatory prayer those supplications which have occurred in the Quran.

Saad reported that he heard his father or his uncle say ; I witnessed the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم while offering prayer. He used to stay in his bowing and his prostration as long as one uttera the words “Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him” three times.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Masud: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: When one of you bows, he should say three time,: Glory be to my mighty Lord, and when he prostrates, he should say: Glory be to my most high Lord three times. This is the minimum number. Abu Dawud said: The chain of this tradition is broken. The narrator 'Awn did not see Abdullah (bin Masud).
