The above-mentioned tradition has also been transmitted by Wail bin Hujr through a different chain of narrators. This version has: When he prostrated himself, his knees fell on the ground before his hands had fallen. Hemmam said: This tradition has also been transmitted by Asim bin Kulaib through a different chain of narrators to the same effect. And one of these two versions, and probably the version narrated by Muhammad bin Juhadah, has the words: When he stood up (after prostration), he stood up on his knees taking the support of his thighs.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُحَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ الصَّلَاةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَلَمَّا سَجَدَ وَقَعَتَا رُكْبَتَاهُ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقَعَ كَفَّاهُ . قَالَ هَمَّامٌ:‏‏‏‏ وَحَدَّثَنِي شَقِيقٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بِمِثْلِ هَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي حَدِيثِ أَحَدِهِمَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَكْبَرُ عِلْمِي أَنَّهُ فِي حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُحَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَإِذَا نَهَضَ نَهَضَ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ وَاعْتَمَدَ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ .

اس سند سے وائل بن حجر رضی اللہ عنہ سے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز کی کیفیت مروی ہے، اس میں ہے کہ جب آپ سجدہ کرتے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے گھٹنے ہتھیلیوں سے پہلے زمین پر پڑتے۔ ہمام کہتے ہیں: مجھ سے شقیق نے بیان کیا ہے، وہ کہتے ہیں: مجھ سے عاصم بن کلیب نے اور عاصم نے اپنے والد سے کلیب نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اسی کے مثل روایت کیا ہے اور ان دونوں میں سے کسی کی حدیث میں اور میرا غالب گمان یہی ہے کہ محمد بن جحادہ کی حدیث میں یہ ہے: جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اٹھتے تو اپنی ران پر ٹیک لگا کر اپنے دونوں گھٹنوں کے بل اٹھتے ۔

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: when one of you prostrates himself he must not kneel in the manner of camel, but should put down his hands before his knees.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: (Does) one of you kneel down in his prayer as a camel kneels down (i. e. put his knees before his hands).

Abu Qilabah said: Abu sulaiman Malik bin al-Huwairith came to our mosque and said: By Allah, I Shall offer prayer; and I do not intend to pray, but I intend to show you how I saw the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم offering prayer. He (the narrator Ayyub) said: I asked Abu Qilabah: How did he pray? He replied: Like the prayer of this head after the last prostration in the first rak’ah, he used to sit, and then stand up.

Abu Qilabah said: Abu Sulaiman Malik bin al-Huwairth came to our mosque, and said: By Allah, I Shall offer prayer, though I do not intend to pray; I only intend to show you how I saw the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم praying. The narrator said: ( He then prayed and ) he sat at the end of the first rak’ah when he raised his head after the last prostration.

Abu Qilabah said: Malik bin al-Huwairith saw that the prophet (may peace by upon him) would not stand at the end of the first or the third rak’ah until he sat down straight.
