Narrated A person from the Ansar: Saeed ibn al-Musayyab said: An Ansari was breathing his last. He said: I narrate to you a tradition, and I narrate it with the intention of getting a reward from Allah. I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: If any one of you performs ablution and performs it very well, and goes out for prayer, he does not take his right step but Allah records a good work (or blessing) for him, and he does not take his left step but Allah remits one sin from him. Any one of you may reside near the mosque or far from it; if he comes to the mosque and prays in congregation, he will be forgiven (by Allah). If he comes to the mosque while the people had prayed in part, and the prayer remained in part, and he prays in congregation the part he joined, and completed the part he had missed, he will enjoy similarly (i. e. he will be forgiven). If he comes to the mosque when the people had finished prayer, he will enjoy the same

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاذِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَضَرَ رَجُلًا مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ الْمَوْتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي مُحَدِّثُكُمْ حَدِيثًا مَا أُحَدِّثُكُمُوهُ إِلَّا احْتِسَابًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ لَمْ يَرْفَعْ قَدَمَهُ الْيُمْنَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَهُ حَسَنَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَضَعْ قَدَمَهُ الْيُسْرَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا حَطَّ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَنْهُ سَيِّئَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلْيُقَرِّبْ أَحَدُكُمْ أَوْ لِيُبَعِّدْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنْ أَتَى الْمَسْجِدَ فَصَلَّى فِي جَمَاعَةٍ غُفِرَ لَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنْ أَتَى الْمَسْجِدَ وَقَدْ صَلَّوْا بَعْضًا وَبَقِيَ بَعْضٌ صَلَّى مَا أَدْرَكَ وَأَتَمَّ مَا بَقِيَ كَانَ كَذَلِكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنْ أَتَى الْمَسْجِدَ وَقَدْ صَلَّوْا فَأَتَمَّ الصَّلَاةَ كَانَ كَذَلِكَ .

سعید بن مسیب کہتے ہیں ایک انصاری کی وفات کا وقت قریب ہوا تو انہوں نے کہا: میں تم لوگوں کو ایک حدیث بیان کرتا ہوں اور اسے صرف ثواب کی نیت سے بیان کر رہا ہوں: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ہے: جب تم میں سے کوئی وضو کرے اور اچھی طرح وضو کرے پھر نماز کے لیے نکلے تو وہ جب بھی اپنا داہنا قدم اٹھاتا ہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کے لیے ایک نیکی لکھتا ہے، اور جب بھی اپنا بایاں قدم رکھتا ہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کی ایک برائی مٹا دیتا ہے لہٰذا تم میں سے جس کا جی چاہے مسجد سے قریب رہے اور جس کا جی چاہے مسجد سے دور رہے، اگر وہ مسجد میں آیا اور اس نے جماعت سے نماز پڑھی تو اسے بخش دیا جائے گا اور اگر وہ مسجد میں اس وقت آیا جب کہ ( جماعت شروع ہو چکی تھی اور ) کچھ رکعتیں لوگوں نے پڑھ لی تھیں اور کچھ باقی تھیں پھر اس نے جماعت کے ساتھ جتنی رکعتیں پائیں پڑھیں اور جو رہ گئی تھیں بعد میں پوری کیں تو وہ بھی اسی طرح ( اجر و ثواب کا مستحق ) ہو گا، اور اگر وہ مسجد میں اس وقت پہنچا جب کہ نماز ختم ہو چکی تھی اور اس نے اکیلے پوری نماز پڑھی تو وہ بھی اسی طرح ہو گا ۔

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: whoever performs ablution, and performs his ablution perfectly, and then goes to the mosque and finds that the people had finished the prayer (in congregation), Allah will give him a reward like one who prayed in congregation and attended it; The reward of those who prayed in congregation will not be curtailed

Narrated Abu Hurairah: Do not prevent the female servants of Allah from visiting the mosques of Allah, but they may go out (to the mosque) having no perfumed themselves.

Ibn Umar reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying; Do not prevent the female servant your women from visiting the mosques of Allah.

Ibn Umar reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying; Do not prevent your women from visiting the mosque; but their houses are better for them (for praying).

Abdullah bin Umar reported the prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying; Allow women to visit the mosque at night. A son of his (Bilal) said; I swear by Allah, we shall certainly not allow them because they will defraud. I swear by Allah, we shall not allow them. He (Ibn Umar) abused him and became angry at him and said: I tell you that the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Allow them; yet you say; we shall not allow them.

Aishah (Allah be pleased with her), wife of the prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, said ; if the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم had seen what the women have invented, he would have prevented them from visiting the mosque (for praying), as the women of the children of the Israel were prevented. Yahya (the narrator) said; I asked ‘Umrah ; were the women of Israel prevented? She said: yes.
