Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: A man never did a good deed but removed a thorny branch from the road; it was either in the tree and someone cut it and threw it on the road, or it was lying in it, he removed it. Allah accepted this good deed of his and brought him into Paradise.

حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ،‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَزَعَ رَجُلٌ لَمْ يَعْمَلْ خَيْرًا قَطُّ غُصْنَ شَوْكٍ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ،‏‏‏‏ إِمَّا كَانَ فِي شَجَرَةٍ فَقَطَعَهُ وَأَلْقَاهُ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِمَّا كَانَ مَوْضُوعًا فَأَمَاطَهُ،‏‏‏‏ فَشَكَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهَا،‏‏‏‏ فَأَدْخَلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ایک شخص نے جس نے کبھی کوئی بھلا کام نہیں کیا تھا کانٹے کی ایک ڈالی راستے پر سے ہٹا دی، یا تو وہ ڈالی درخت پر ( جھکی ہوئی ) تھی ( آنے جانے والوں کے سروں سے ٹکراتی تھی ) اس نے اسے کاٹ کر الگ ڈال دیا، یا اسے کسی نے راستے پر ڈال دیا تھا اور اس نے اسے ہٹا دیا تو اللہ اس کے اس کام سے خوش ہوا اور اسے جنت میں داخل کر دیا ۔

Salim quoting his father (Ibn Umar) said ( sometimes he traced back to the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم: Do not leave a fire burning in your houses while you are asleep.

Ibn Abbas said: A mouse came dragging a wick and dropped before the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم on the mat on which he was sitting with the result that it burned a hole in it about the size of dirham. He (the prophet) said: When you go to sleep, extinguish your lamps, for the devil guides a creature like this to do thus and sets you on fire.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: We have not made peace with them since we fought with them, so he who leaves any of them alone through fear does not belong to us.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Masud: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Kill all the snakes, and he who fears their revenge does not belong to me.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: He who leaves the snakes along through fear of their pursuit, does not belong to us. We have not made peace with them since we have fought with them.

Narrated Al-Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib: Al-Abbas said to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم: We wish to sweep out Zamzam, but in it there are some of these Jinnan, meaning small snakes; so the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ordered that they should be killed.
