The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Abu Hurairah through a different chain of narrators. This version does not mention the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم i. e, it does not go back to him. It has: He must say: “My master” (sayyidi) and “My patron” (mawlaya).
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ السَّرْحِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ أَبَا يُونُسَ حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فِي هَذَا الْخَبَرِ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَلْيَقُلْ:‏‏‏‏ سَيِّدِي وَمَوْلَايَ.
اس سند سے بھی ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے یہی حدیث مروی ہے   لیکن اس میں انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا ذکر نہیں کیا ہے اور اس میں یہ ہے فرمایا: اور چاہیئے کہ وہ «سيدي» ( میرے آقا ) اور «مولاى» ( میرے مولی ) کہے۔

He said: do not say; may the devil perish! For you say that, he will swell so much so that he will be like a house, and say: by my power. But say: in the name of Allah; for when you say that, he will diminish so much so that he will be like a fly.
