Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: No retaliation is payable for a wound caused by a dumb animal, for a mine, and for a well. On the treasure found buried in the land there is a fifth. Abu Dawud said: A dumb animal means an animal which is free and has not tether, and there is no one (as a watchman) with it. It causes harm by day and not by night.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سَمِعَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْعَجْمَاءُ جُرْحُهَا جُبَارٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْمَعْدِنُ جُبَارٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْبِئْرُ جُبَارٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي الرِّكَازِ الْخُمْسُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ الْعَجْمَاءُ الْمُنْفَلِتَةُ الَّتِي لَا يَكُونُ مَعَهَا أَحَدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَتَكُونُ بِالنَّهَارِ لَا تَكُونُ بِاللَّيْلِ.

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جانور کسی کو زخمی کر دے تو اس میں ہرجانہ نہیں ہے، کان میں ہلاک ہونے والے کا ہرجانہ نہیں ہے اور کنواں میں ہلاک ہو جانے والے کا ہرجانہ نہیں ہے ۱؎ اور رکاز میں پانچواں حصہ دینا ہو گا ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: جانور سے مراد وہ جانور ہے جو چھڑا کر بھاگ گیا ہو اور اس کے ساتھ کوئی نہ ہو اور دن ہو، رات نہ ہو۔

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: No recompense may be demanded if the fire spreads.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Al-Rubayyi, sister of Anas bin al-Nadr, broke (one of) the front teeth of a woman. They came to the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. He made a decision in accordance with the Book of Allah that retaliation should be taken. Anas bin al-Nadr said: I swear by Him who has sent you the truth, her front tooth will not be broken today. He replied: Anas! Allah's decree is retaliation. But the people were agreeable to accepting a fine, so the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Among Allah's servants there are those who, if they adjured Allah, He (Allah) would consent to it. Abu Dawud said: I heard Ahmad bin Hanbal say: He was asked: How retaliation of a tooth is taken ? He said: It is broken with a file.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The Jews were split up into seventy-one or seventy-two sects; and the Christians were split up into seventy one or seventy-two sects; and my community will be split up into seventy-three sects.

Abu Amir al-Hawdhani said: Muawiyah bin Abi Sufiyan stood among us and said: Beware! The Messenger of ALLA H صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم stood among us and said: Beware! The people of the Book before were split up into seventy-two sects, and this community will be split into seventy three: seventy-two of them will go to Hell and one of them will go to Paradise, and it is the majority group. Ibn Yahya and Amr added in their version: “ There will appear among my community people who will be dominated by desires like rabies which penetrates its patient”, Amr’s version has: “penetrates its patient. There remains no vein and no joint but it penetrates it. ”

Aishah said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم recited this verse: “He it is who has sent down to thee the Book: in it are verses basic or fundamental. . . . ” Up to “men of understanding”. She said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم then said: When you see those people who follow that which is allegorical in the Quran, those are the people whom Allah has named (in the Quran). So avoid them.

Narrated Abu Dharr: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The best of the actions is to love for the sake of Allah and to hate for the sake of Allah.
