Abdullah bin Umar reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: If anyone emancipates his share in slave, a fair price for the slave should be fixed, give his partners their shares, and the slave be thus emancipated. Otherwise he is emancipated to the extent of the share which he emancipated.

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ أُقِيمَ عَلَيْهِ قِيمَةُ الْعَدْلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَعْطَى شُرَكَاءَهُ حِصَصَهُمْ وَأُعْتِقَ عَلَيْهِ الْعَبْدُ وَإِلَّا فَقَدْ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ مَا عَتَقَ .

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے رویت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو شخص ( مشترک ) غلام میں سے اپنا حصہ آزاد کر دے تو اس غلام کی واجبی قیمت لگا کر ہر ایک شریک کو اس کے حصہ کے مطابق ادا کرے گا اور غلام اس کی طرف سے آزاد ہو جائے گا اور اگر اس کے پاس مال نہیں ہے تو جتنا آزاد ہوا ہے اتنا ہی حصہ آزاد رہے گا ۔
