Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: Khalid said: Abu Ziyad Khiyar ibn Salamah asked Aishah about onions. She replied: The last food which the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ate was some which contained onions.

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا. ح حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ بَحِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي زِيَادٍ خِيَارِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ الْبَصَلِ ؟ فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ آخِرَ طَعَامٍ أَكَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَعَامٌ فِيهِ بَصَلٌ .

ابوزیاد خیار بن سلمہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے پیاز کے متعلق پوچھا کیا تو آپ نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جو آخری کھانا تناول کیا اس میں پیاز تھی۔

Narrated Yusuf ibn Abdullah ibn Salam: I saw that the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم took a piece of break of barley and put a date on it and said: This is the condiment of this.

Aishah reported the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: A family which has no dates will be hungry.

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: When the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was brought some old dates, he began to examine them and remove the worms from them.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abu Talhah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was brought some dates which contained worms. He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as the previous (No 3823).

Ibn Umar said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم prohibited anyone taking two dates together with the exception that you ask permission from your companions.
