Narrated Anas ibn Malik: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم forbade that a man should drink while standing.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ قَائِمًا .
انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں   رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے منع فرمایا ہے کہ آدمی کھڑے ہو کر کچھ پیئے۔

Ibn Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم forbade drinking from the mouth of a water-skin, and riding the animal which feeds on filth and eating the animal which is killed in confinement. Abu Dawud said: Jallalah means an animal which eats filth and impurities.

He threw it away and said: I threw it away, for I prohibited (him) but he did not stop. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم forbade to wear silk or brocade, and to drink from gold and silver vessels. He said: Others have them in this world and you will have them in the next.
