Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم commanded to remove weapons and skins from the martyrs of Uhud, and that they should be buried with their blood and clothes.

حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَتْلَى أُحُدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْ يُنْزَعَ عَنْهُمُ الْحَدِيدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْجُلُودُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنْ يُدْفَنُوا بِدِمَائِهِمْ وَثِيَابِهِمْ .

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے احد کے مقتولین ( شہداء ) کے بارے میں حکم دیا کہ ان کی زرہیں اور پوستینیں ان سے اتار لی جائیں، اور انہیں ان کے خون اور کپڑوں سمیت دفن کر دیا جائے۔

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: The martyrs of Uhud were not washed, and they were buried with their blood. No prayer was offered over them.

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم passed Hamzah who was killed and disfigured. He said: If Safiyyah were not grieved, I would have left him until the birds and beasts of prey would have eaten him, and he would have been resurrected from their bellies. The garments were scanty and the slain were in great number. So one, two and three persons were shrouded in one garment. The narrator Qutaybah added: They were then buried in one grave. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم asked: Which of the two learnt the Quran more? He then advanced him toward the qiblah (direction of prayer).

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم passed by Hamzah who was disfigured (after being killed). He did not offer prayer over any martyr except him.

Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم combined two persons from among the martyrs of Uhud (in one garment), and said: Which of the two has learnt the Quran more ? When one of them was pointed to him, he advanced him in the grave, saying: I shall be witness to all these (martyrs) on the Day of Judgement. He then ordered them to be buried without being washed.

Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Do not unveil your thigh, and do not look at the thigh of the living and the dead.
