Narrated Abu Hurairah: Banu al-Harith bin Amir bin Nawfal bought Khubaib. Khubaib killed al-Harith bin Amir on the day of Badr. Khubaib remained with them as a prisoner until they agreed on his killing. He borrowed razor form the daughter of al-Harith to shave his pubes. She let it to him. A small child of her crept to him while she was inattentive. When she same, she found him alone and the child was on this thigh and the razor was in his hand. She was terrified and he realized its effect on her. He said: Do you fear that I shall kill him ? I am not going to do that. Abu Dawud said: Shuaib bin Abi Hamzah transmitted this narrative from al-Zuhri. He said: Ubaid Allah bin Ayyash told me that the daughter of al-Harith told him that when they gathered for killing him, he borrowed a razor from her to shave (his pubes). She lent it to him.

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ جَارِيَةَ الثَّقَفِيُّ حَلِيفُ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ابْتَاعَ بَنُو الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ خُبَيْبًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَانَ خُبَيْبٌ هُوَ قَتَلَ الْحَارِثَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَبِثَ خُبَيْبٌ عِنْدَهُمْ أَسِيرًا. حتَّى أَجْمَعُوا لِقَتْلِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَاسْتَعَارَ مِنَ ابْنَةِ الْحَارِثِ مُوسًى يَسْتَحِدُّ بِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَعَارَتْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَدَرَجَ بُنَيٌّ لَهَا وَهِيَ غَافِلَةٌ. حتَّى أَتَتْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَوَجَدَتْهُ مُخْلِيًا وَهُوَ عَلَى فَخْذِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْمُوسَى بِيَدِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَفَزِعَتْ فَزْعَةً عَرَفَهَا فِيهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَتَخْشَيْنَ أَنْ أَقْتُلَهُ ؟ مَا كُنْتُ لِأَفْعَلَ ذَلِكَ. قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ رَوَى هَذِهِ الْقِصَّةَ شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ ابْنَةَ الْحَارِثِ أَخْبَرَتْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُمْ حِينَ اجْتَمَعُوا يَعْنِي لِقَتْلِهِ اسْتَعَارَ مِنْهَا مُوسًى يَسْتَحِدُّ بِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَعَارَتْهُ.

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ حارث بن عامر بن نوفل کے بیٹوں نے خبیب رضی اللہ عنہ کو خریدا ۱؎ اور خبیب ہی تھے جنہوں نے حارث بن عامر کو جنگ بدر میں قتل کیا تھا، تو خبیب ان کے پاس قید رہے ( جب حرمت کے مہینے ختم ہو گئے ) تو وہ سب ان کے قتل کے لیے جمع ہوئے، خبیب بن عدی نے حارث کی بیٹی سے استرہ طلب کیا جس سے وہ ناف کے نیچے کے بال کی صفائی کر لیں، اس نے انہیں استرہ دے دیا، اسی حالت میں اس کا ایک چھوٹا بچہ خبیب کے پاس جا پہنچا وہ بےخبر تھی یہاں تک کہ وہ ان کے پاس آئی تو دیکھا کہ وہ اکیلے ہیں، بچہ ان کی ران پر بیٹھا ہوا ہے، اور استرہ ان کے ہاتھ میں ہے، یہ دیکھ کر وہ سہم گئی اور ایسی گھبرائی کہ خبیب بھانپ گئے اور کہنے لگے: کیا تم ڈر رہی ہو کہ میں اسے قتل کر دوں گا، میں ایسا ہرگز نہیں کر سکتا ۲؎۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اس قصہ کو شعیب بن ابوحمزہ نے زہری سے روایت کیا ہے، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے عبیداللہ بن عیاض نے خبر دی ہے کہ حارث کی بیٹی نے انہیں بتایا کہ جب لوگوں نے خبیب کے قتل کا متفقہ فیصلہ کر لیا تو انہوں نے موئے زیر ناف صاف کرنے کے لیے اس سے استرہ مانگا تو اس نے انہیں دے دیا ۳؎۔

Narrated Umm Salamah: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم: When you attend dying man, you should say good words, for the angels say Amin to what you say. When Abu Salamah died, I said: What should I say, Messenger of Allah? He said: O Allah forgive him, and give us something good in exchange. She said: So Allah gave me Muhammad صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم in exchange for him.

Narrated Muadh bin Jabal: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: If anyone's last words are There is no god but Allah he will enter Paradise.

Narrated Umm Salamah: When the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم entered upon Abu Salamah, his eyes were fixedly open. So he closed them. The members of his family cried. He said: Do not pray for yourself anything but good, for the angels utter Amin to what you say. He then said: O Allah, forgive Abu Salamah, raise his rank among those who are guided, and grant him a succession in his descendants who remain. Forgive both us and him, Lord of the universe. O Allah, make his grave spacious for him, and grant him light in it. Abu Dawud said: The eyes of the deceased should be closed after his expiry. I heard Muhammad bin al-Numan al-Muqri say: I heard a man who was devoted to Allah say: I closed the eyes of Jafar al-Mu'allim when he was dying. He was a man devoted to Allah. I saw him in a dream on the night he died. He said: The biggest thing for me was closing the eyes by you before I died.
