Salamah said “We went out (on an expedition) with Abu Bakr. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم appointed him commander over us. We attacked Fazarah and took them from all sides. I then saw a group of people which contained children and women. I shot an arrow towards them, but it fell between them and the mountain. They stood; I brought them to Abu Bakr. There was among them a woman of Fazarah. She wore a skin over her and her daughter who was the most beautiful of the Arabs was with her. Abu Bakr gave her daughter to me as a reward. I came back to Madeenah. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم met me and said to me “Give me the woman, Salamah. I said to him, I swear by Allaah, she is to my liking and I have not yet untied he garment. He kept silence, and when the next day came the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم met me in the market and said to me “Give me the woman, Salamah, by Allaah, your father. I said the Messenger of Allah, I have not yet untied her garment. I swear by Allaah, she is now yours. He sent her to the people of Makkah who had (some Muslims) prisoners in their hands. They released them for this woman.

حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَأَمَّرَهُ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَغَزَوْنَا فَزَارَةَ فَشَنَنَّا الْغَارَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ نَظَرْتُ إِلَى عُنُقٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ فِيهِ الذُّرِّيَّةُ وَالنِّسَاءُ فَرَمَيْتُ بِسَهْمٍ فَوَقَعَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ الْجَبَلِ فَقَامُوا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَجِئْتُ بِهِمْ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ فِيهِمُ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ فَزَارَةَ وَعَلَيْهَا قِشْعٌ مَنْ أَدَمٍ مَعَهَا بِنْتٌ لَهَا مِنْ أَحْسَنِ الْعَرَبِ فَنَفَّلَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ ابْنَتَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَلَقِيَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لِي:‏‏‏‏ يَا سَلَمَةُ هَبْ لِي الْمَرْأَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ أَعْجَبَتْنِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَا كَشَفْتُ لَهَا ثَوْبًا فَسَكَتَ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ مِنَ الْغَدِ لَقِيَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي السُّوقِ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا سَلَمَةُ هَبْ لِي الْمَرْأَةَ لِلَّهِ أَبُوكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهِ مَا كَشَفْتُ لَهَا ثَوْبًا وَهِيَ لَكَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَبَعَثَ بِهَا إِلَى أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ وَفِي أَيْدِيهِمْ أَسْرَى فَفَادَاهُمْ بِتِلْكَ الْمَرْأَةِ.

سلمہ بن الاکوع رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ نکلے، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کو ہمارا امیر بنایا تھا، ہم نے قبیلہ بنی فزارہ سے جنگ کی، ہم نے ان پر اچانک حملہ کیا، کچھ بچوں اور عورتوں کی گردنیں ہمیں نظر آئیں، تو میں نے ایک تیر چلائی، تیر ان کے اور پہاڑ کے درمیان جا گرا وہ سب کھڑے ہو گئے، پھر میں ان کو پکڑ کر ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس لایا، ان میں فزارہ کی ایک عورت تھی، وہ کھال پہنے ہوئی تھی، اس کے ساتھ اس کی لڑکی تھی جو عرب کی حسین ترین لڑکیوں میں سے تھی، ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے مجھے اس کی بیٹی کو بطور انعام دے دیا، میں مدینہ آیا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے میری ملاقات ہوئی تو آپ نے فرمایا: سلمہ! اس عورت کو مجھے ہبہ کر دو ، میں نے کہا: اللہ کی قسم وہ لڑکی مجھے پسند آئی ہے، اور میں نے ابھی تک اس کا کپڑا نہیں ہٹایا ہے، آپ خاموش ہو گئے، جب دوسرا دن ہوا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پھر مجھے بازار میں ملے اور فرمایا: سلمہ! اس عورت کو مجھے ہبہ کر دو، قسم ہے اللہ کی ۱؎، میں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! اللہ کی قسم! میں نے ابھی تک اس کا کپڑا نہیں ہٹایا ہے، اور وہ آپ کے لیے ہے، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے مکہ والوں کے پاس بھیج دیا، اور اس کے بدلے میں ان کے پاس جو مسلمان قیدی تھے انہیں چھڑا لیا۔

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: Nafi said that a slave of Ibn Umar ran away to the enemy, and then the Muslims overpowered them. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم returned him to Ibn Umar and that was not distributed (as a part of booty). Abu Dawud said: The other narrators said: Khalid bin al-Walid returned him to him (Ibd Umar).

Nafi said that a horse of Ibn Umar went away and the enemy seized it. The Muslims overpowered them. Khalid bin Walid returned it to him after the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم.

Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib: Some slaves (of the unbelievers) went out to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم on the day of al-Hudaybiyyah before treaty. Their masters wrote to him saying: O Muhammad, they have not gone out to you with an interest in your religion, but they have gone out to escape from slavery. Some people said: They have spoken the truth, Messenger of Allah, send them back to them. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم became angry and said: I do not see your restraining yourself from this action), group of Quraysh, but that Allah send someone to you who strike your necks. He then refused to return them, and said: They are emancipated (slaves) of Allah, the Exalted.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: In the time of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم an army got food and honey and a fifth was not taken from them.

Abd Allaah bin Mughaffal said “On the day of Khaibar a skin of fat was hanging. I came to it and clung to it. I then said (i. e., thought) I shall not give any one any of it today. I then turned round and saw the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم smiling at me.

Narrated Abdur Rahman ibn Samurah ibn Kabul: AbuLabid said: We were with Abdur Rahman ibn Samurah ibn Kabul. The people got booty and plundered it. He stood and addressed (the people): I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم prohibiting getting property from the booty before its distribution. Therefore, they returned what they had taken, He then distributed it among them.
