Narrated Umm Salamah, Ummul Muminin: The night which the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم passed with me was the one that followed the day of sacrifice. He came to me and Wahb ibn Zam'ah also visited me. A man belonging to the lineage of Abu Umayyah accompanied him. Both of them were wearing shirts. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said to Wahb: Did you perform the obligatory circumambulation (Tawaf az-Ziyarah), Abu Abdullah? He said: No, by Allah Messenger of Allah. He (the Prophet) said: Take off your shirt. He then took it off over his head, and his companion too took his shirt off over his head. He then asked: And why (this), Messenger of Allah? He replied: On this day you have been allowed to take off ihram when you have thrown the stones at the jamrahs, that is, everything prohibited during the state of ihram is lawful except intercourse with a woman. If the evening comes before you go round this House (the Kabah) you will remain in the sacred state (i. e. ihram), just like the state in which you were before you threw stones at the jamrahs, until you perform the circumambulation of it (i. e. the Kabah).

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ الْمَعْنَى وَاحِدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَمْعَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَنْ أُمِّهِ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ يُحَدِّثَانِهِ جَمِيعًا ذَاكَ عَنْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَتْ لَيْلَتِي الَّتِي يَصِيرُ إِلَيَّ فِيهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَسَاءَ يَوْمِ النَّحْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَصَارَ إِلَيَّ وَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ وَهْبُ بْنُ زَمْعَةَ وَمَعَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ آلِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ مُتَقَمِّصَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِوَهْبٍ:‏‏‏‏ هَلْ أَفَضْتَ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا وَاللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ انْزِعْ عَنْكَ الْقَمِيصَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَنَزَعَهُ مِنْ رَأْسِهِ وَنَزَعَ صَاحِبُهُ قَمِيصَهُ مِنْ رَأْسِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَلِمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ هَذَا يَوْمٌ رُخِّصَ لَكُمْ إِذَا أَنْتُمْ رَمَيْتُمُ الْجَمْرَةَ أَنْ تَحِلُّوا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَعْنِي مِنْ كُلِّ مَا حُرِمْتُمْ مِنْهُ إِلَّا النِّسَاءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا أَمْسَيْتُمْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطُوفُوا هَذَا الْبَيْتَ صِرْتُمْ حُرُمًا كَهَيْئَتِكُمْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَرْمُوا الْجَمْرَةَ حَتَّى تَطُوفُوا بِهِ .

ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ میری وہ رات جس میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میرے پاس تشریف لائے یوم النحر کی شام تھی، چنانچہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میرے پاس تشریف لائے، اتنے میں وہب بن زمعہ اور ان کے ساتھ ابوامیہ کی اولاد کا ایک شخص دونوں قمیص پہنے میرے یہاں آئے، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وہب سے پوچھا: ابوعبداللہ! کیا تم نے طواف افاضہ کر لیا؟ وہ بولے: قسم اللہ کی! نہیں اللہ کے رسول، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تو پھر اپنی قمیص اتار دو ، چنانچہ انہوں نے اپنی قمیص اپنے سر سے اتار دی اور ان کے ساتھی نے بھی اپنے سر سے اپنی قمیص اتار دی پھر بولے: اللہ کے رسول! ایسا کیوں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ وہ دن ہے کہ جب تم جمرہ کو کنکریاں مار لو تو تمہارے لیے وہ تمام چیزیں حلال ہو جائیں گی جو تمہارے لیے حالت احرام میں حرام تھیں سوائے عورتوں کے، پھر جب شام کر لو اور بیت اللہ کا طواف نہ کر سکو تو تمہارا احرام باقی رہے گا، اسی طرح جیسے رمی جمرات سے پہلے تھا یہاں تک کہ تم اس کا طواف کر لو ۔

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin ; Abdullah Ibn Abbas: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم postponed the circumambulation on the day of sacrifice till the night.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم did not walk quickly (ramal) in the seven rounds of the last circumambulation (Tawaf al-Ifadah).

Narrated Ibn Abbas: The people used to go out (from Makkah after Hajj) by all sides. The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: No one should leave (Makkah) until he performs the last circumambulation of the House (the Kabah).

Narrated Aishah: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم mentioned about Safiyyah, daughter of Huyayy. He was told that she had menstruated. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: She may probably detain us. They (the people) said: She has performed the obligatory circumambulation (Tawaf al-Ziyarah). He said: If so, there is no need (of staying any longer).

Al-Harith ibn Abdullah ibn Aws said: I came to Umar ibn al-Khattab and asked him about a woman who has performed the (obligatory) circumambulation on the day of sacrifice, and then she menstruates. He said: She must perform the last circumambulation of the House (the Kabah). Al-Harith said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم told me the same thing. Umar said: May your hands fall down! You asked me about a thing that you had asked the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم so that I might oppose him.

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: I put on ihram for Umrah at at-Tanim and I entered (Makkah) and performed my Umrah as an atonement. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم waited for me at al-Abtah till I finished it. He commanded the people to depart. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم came to the House (the Kabah), went round it and went out (i. e. left for Madina).
