Ibn Jurayj asked Ibn Umar: We sell the property of the people; so one of us goes to Makkah and passes the night there with the property (during the stay at Mina). He said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to pass night and day at Mina.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي حَرِيزٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ أَبُو حَرِيزٍ الشَّكّ مِنْ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ فَرُّوخٍ يَسْأَلُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّا نَتَبَايَعُ بِأَمْوَالِ النَّاسِ فَيَأْتِي أَحَدُنَا مَكَّةَ فَيَبِيتُ عَلَى الْمَالِ ؟ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَمَّا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَبَاتَ بِمِنًى وَظَلَّ .
حریز یا ابوحریز بیان کرتے ہیں کہ   انہوں نے عبدالرحمٰن بن فروخ کو ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے پوچھتے ہوئے سنا، وہ کہہ رہے تھے کہ ہم لوگوں کا مال بیچتے ہیں تو کیا ہم میں سے کوئی منیٰ کی راتوں میں مکہ میں جا کر مال کے پاس رہے؟ انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تو رات اور دن دونوں منیٰ میں رہا کرتے تھے ۱؎۔

Narrated Abdur-Rahman bin Zaid: Uthman prayed four rak'ahs at Mina. Abdullah (bin Masud) said: I prayed two rak'ahs along with the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and two rak'ahs along with Umar. The version of Hafs added: And along with Uthman during the early period of his caliphate. He (Uthman) began to offer complete prayer (i. e. four rak'ahs) later on. The version of Abu Muawiyah added: Then your modes of action varied. I would like to pray two rak'ahs acceptable to Allah instead of four rak'ahs. Al-Amash said: Muawiyah bin Qurrah reported to me from his teachers: Abdullah (bin Masud) once prayed four rak'ahs. He was told: You criticized Uthman but you yourself prayed four ? He replied: Dissension is evil.
