Ibn Masud said “ I never saw the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم observe a prayer out of its proper time except (two prayers) at Al Muzdalifah. He combined the sunset and night prayers at Al Muzdalifah and he offered the dawn prayer that day before its proper time.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ عَبْدَ الْوَاحِدِ بْنَ زَيَادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبَا عَوَانَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبَا مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثُوهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُمَارَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى صَلَاةً إِلَّا لِوَقْتِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا بِجَمْعٍ فَإِنَّهُ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ بِجَمْعٍ وَصَلَّى صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ مِنَ الْغَدِ قَبْلَ وَقْتِهَا .
عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ہمیشہ وقت پر ہی نماز پڑھتے دیکھا سوائے مزدلفہ کے، مزدلفہ میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مغرب اور عشاء کو جمع کیا اور دوسرے دن فجر وقت معمول سے کچھ پہلے پڑھی ۱؎۔

Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib: When the morning came, the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم stood at the mountain Quzah and said: This is Quzah, and this is a place of stationing, and the whole of al-Muzdalifah is a place of stationing. I sacrificed the animals here, and the whole of Mina is a place of sacrifice. So sacrifice in your dwellings.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم sent ahead some boys from Banu Abdul Muttalib on donkeys on the night of al-Muzdalifah. He began to pat our thighs (out of love) and said: O young! boys do not throw pebbles at the jamrah till the sun rises. Abu Dawud said: The Arabic word al-lath means to strike softly.
