Usamah bin Zaid said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم returned from ‘Arafah. When he came to the mountain path, he alighted, urinated and performed the ablution, but he did not perform it completely. I said to him Prayer? He said “The prayer will be offered ahead of you. ” He then mounted. When he reached Al Muzdalifah he alighted performed the ablution, performed it well. Thereafter iqamah for the prayer was called and he offered the sunset prayer. Then everyone made his Camel kneel down at his place. Iqamah was then called for night prayer and he offered it but he did not pray between them.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ دَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ عَرَفَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ بِالشِّعْبِ نَزَلَ فَبَالَ فَتَوَضَّأَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يُسْبِغْ الْوُضُوءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قُلْتُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ الصَّلَاةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الصَّلَاةُ أَمَامَكَ فَرَكِبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا جَاءَ الْمُزْدَلِفَةَ نَزَلَ فَتَوَضَّأَ فَأَسْبَغَ الْوُضُوءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ أَنَاخَ كُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ بَعِيرَهُ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ أُقِيمَتِ الْعِشَاءُ فَصَلَّاهَا وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ بَيْنَهُمَا شَيْئًا .
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کے غلام کریب کی روایت ہے کہ   انہوں نے اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہما کو کہتے سنا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عرفات سے لوٹے جب گھاٹی میں آئے تو اترے، پیشاب کیا اور وضو کیا لیکن بھرپور وضو نہیں کیا، میں نے آپ سے عرض کیا: نماز ( کا وقت ہو گیا ہے ) آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: نماز آگے چل کر پڑھیں گے ، پھر آپ سوار ہوئے جب مزدلفہ پہنچے تو اترے وضو کیا اور اچھی طرح سے وضو کیا، پھر نماز کی تکبیر کہی گئی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مغرب پڑھی پھر ہر شخص نے اپنے اونٹ کو اپنے قیام گاہ میں بٹھایا پھر عشاء کی اقامت ہوئی تو آپ نے عشاء پڑھی اور درمیان میں کچھ نہیں پڑھا۔

The narrator Makhlad said “He did not call adhan for any of them. ”

Abdullah ibn Malik said: I offered three rak'ahs of the sunset prayer and two rak'ahs of the night prayer along with Ibn Umar. Thereupon Malik ibn al-Harith said: What is this prayer? He said: I offered these prayers along with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم in this place with a single iqamah.

When he finished the prayer Ibn Umar said to us The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم led us in prayer in this way at this place. ”
