Narrated Asma bint Abu Bakr: We came out for performing hajj along with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. When we reached al-Araj, the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم alighted and we also alighted. Aishah sat beside the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and I sat beside my father (Abu Bakr). The equipment and personal effects of Abu Bakr and of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم were placed with Abu Bakr's slave on a camel. Abu Bakr was sitting and waiting for his arrival. He arrived but he had no camel with him. He asked: Where is your camel? He replied: I lost it last night. Abu Bakr said: There was only one camel, even that you have lost. He then began to beat him while the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was smiling and saying: Look at this man who is in the sacred state (putting on ihram), what is he doing? Ibn Abu Rizmah said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم spoke nothing except the words: Look at this man who is in the sacred state (wearing ihram), what is he doing? He was smiling (when he uttered these words).

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي رِزْمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْيَحْيَى بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُجَّاجًا حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِالْعَرْجِ نَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَزَلْنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَجَلَسَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا إِلَى جَنْبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَلَسْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ أَبِي وَكَانَتْ زِمَالَةُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَزِمَالَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاحِدَةً مَعَ غُلَامٍ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَجَلَسَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَنْتَظِرُ أَنْ يَطْلُعَ عَلَيْهِ فَطَلَعَ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُ بَعِيرُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيْنَ بَعِيرُكَ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَضْلَلْتُهُ الْبَارِحَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ:‏‏‏‏ بَعِيرٌ وَاحِدٌ تُضِلُّهُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَطَفِقَ يَضْرِبُهُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَبَسَّمُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ انْظُرُوا إِلَى هَذَا الْمُحْرِمِ مَا يَصْنَعُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي رِزْمَةَ:‏‏‏‏ فَمَا يَزِيدُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَنْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولَ:‏‏‏‏ انْظُرُوا إِلَى هَذَا الْمُحْرِمِ مَا يَصْنَعُ وَيَتَبَسَّمُ.

اسماء بنت ابی بکر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتی ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ حج کو نکلے، جب ہم مقام عرج میں پہنچے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اترے، ہم بھی اترے، ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پہلو میں، اور میں اپنے والد کے پہلو میں بیٹھی۔ اس سفر میں ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم دونوں کے سامان اٹھانے کا اونٹ ایک ہی تھا جو ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے غلام کے پاس تھا، ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ اس انتظار میں بیٹھے کہ وہ غلام آئے جب وہ آیا تو اس کے ساتھ اونٹ نہ تھا، انہوں نے پوچھا: تیرا اونٹ کہاں ہے؟ اس نے جواب دیا کل رات وہ گم ہو گیا، ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ بولے: ایک ہی اونٹ تھا اور وہ بھی تو نے گم کر دیا، پھر وہ اسے مارنے لگے اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مسکرا رہے تھے اور فرما رہے تھے: دیکھو اس محرم کو کیا کر رہا ہے؟ ( ابن ابی رزمہ نے کہا ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس سے زیادہ کچھ نہیں فرما رہے تھے کہ دیکھو اس محرم کو کیا کر رہا ہے اور آپ مسکرا رہے تھے۔

Narrated Yala ibn Umayyah: A man came to the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم when he was at al-Ji'ranah. He was wearing perfume or the mark of saffron was on him and he was wearing a tunic. He said: Messenger of Allah, what do you command me to do while performing my Umrah. In the meantime, Allah, the Exalted, sent a revelation to the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. When he (the Prophet) came to himself gradually, he asked: Where is the man who asking about Umrah? (When the man came) he (the Prophet) said: Wash the perfume which is on you, or he said: (Wash) the mark of saffron (the narrator is doubtful), take off the tunic, then do in your Umrah as you do in your hajj.

It is narrated by Yala bin Umayyah that a man came to Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم at Ji’ranah, putting on ihram for ‘Umrah. He had a cloak on him and his beard and head had been dyed.

Abd Allaah bin Umar said A man asked the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم What clothing one should put on if one intend to put on ihram? He said He should not wear shirts, turbans, trousers, garments with head coverings and clothing which has any dye of waras or saffron; one should not put on shoes unless one cannot get sandals. If one cannot get sandals, one should wear the shoes, in which case one must cut them to come below the ankles.
