Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: In the year of al-Hudaybiyyah, the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم included among his sacrificial animals a camel with a silver nose-ring (Ibn Minhal's version has gold) which had belonged to Abu Jahl (the version of an-Nufayli added) thereby enraging the polytheists .

حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ. ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الْمَعْنَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي مُجَاهِدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَهْدَى عَامَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فِي هَدَايَا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَمَلًا كَانَ لِأَبِي جَهْلٍ فِي رَأْسِهِ بُرَةُ فِضَّةٍ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ ابْنُ مِنْهَالٍ:‏‏‏‏ بُرَةٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏زَادَ النُّفَيْلِيُّ:‏‏‏‏ يَغِيظُ بِذَلِكَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ .

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حدیبیہ کے سال ہدی ۱؎ کے لیے جو اونٹ بھیجا ان میں ایک اونٹ ابوجہل کا ۲؎ تھا، اس کے سر میں چاندی کا چھلا پڑا تھا، ابن منہال کی روایت میں ہے کہ سونے کا چھلا تھا ، نفیلی کی روایت میں اتنا اضافہ ہے کہ اس سے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مشرکین کو غصہ دلا رہے تھے ۳؎ ۔

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم sacrificed a cow for his wives at the Farewell Pilgrimage.

Ibn Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم offered the noon prayer at Dhu al-Hulaifah. He then sent for a camel and made incision in the right side of its hump ; he then took out the blood by pressing it and tied two shoes in its neck. He then rode on his mount (camel) and reached al-Baida, he raised his voice for the talbiyah for performing Hajj.

This tradition has also been transmitted by Shubah through a different chain of narrators similar to that reported by Abu al-Walid. This version adds he then took out the blood by pressing it with his hand. Abu Dawud said: Hammam’s version has the words “He took out the blood by pressing with his fingers”. Abu Dawud said this tradition has been narrated by the people of Basrah who alone are its transmitters.

Al-Miswar bin Makhramah and al-Marwan said the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم proceeded in the year of al-Hudaibiyyah (to Makkah). When he reached Dhu al-Hulaifah, he tied (garlanded) something in the neck of the sacrificial camel (which He took along with him), and made incision in its hump and put on Ihram.

Aishah said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم once brought sheep (or goats) for sacrifice to the house (at the Kaabah) and garlanded them.
