Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم gave us licence to use (for our purpose) a stick, a rope, a whip and things of that type which a man picked up; he may benefit from them.

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ الْمَكِّيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ رَخَّصَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْعَصَا وَالسَّوْطِ وَالْحَبْلِ وَأَشْبَاهِهِ يَلْتَقِطُهُ الرَّجُلُ يَنْتَفِعُ بِهِ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ رَوَاهُ النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بِإِسْنَادِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَوَاهُ شَبَابَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانُوا لَمْ يَذْكُرُوا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں لکڑی، کوڑے، رسی اور ان جیسی چیزوں کے بارے میں رخصت دی کہ اگر آدمی انہیں پڑا پائے تو اسے کام میں لائے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اسے نعمان بن عبدالسلام نے مغیرہ ابوسلمہ سے اسی طریق سے روایت کیا ہے اور اسے شبابہ نے مغیرہ بن مسلم سے انہوں نے ابو الزبیر سے ابوالزبیر نے جابر سے روایت کیا ہے، راوی کہتے ہیں: لوگوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا ذکر نہیں کیا ہے یعنی اسے جابر رضی اللہ عنہ پر موقوف کہا ہے۔

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: He who hides a stray camel shall pay a fine, and a like compensation with it.

Abdur-Rahman bin Uthman al-Taime said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم prohibited taking the find of pilgrims. Ibn Wahb said: One should leave the find of a pilgrim till its owner finds it.

Narrated Al-Mundhir ibn Jarir: I accompanied Jarir at Bawazij. The shepherd brought the cows. Among them there was a cow that was not one of them. Jarir asked him: What is this? He replied: This was mixed with the cows and we do not know to whom it belongs. Jarir said: Take it out. I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: No one mixes a stray animal (with his animals) but a man who strays from right path.

Narrated Aqra ibn Habib: Ibn Abbas said: Aqra ibn Habis asked the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم saying: Messenger of Allah hajj is to be performed annually or only once? He replied: Only once, and if anyone performs it more often, he performs a supererogatory act. Abu Dawud said: The narrator Abu Sinan is Abu Sinan al-Du'wail. The same has been reported by both Abd al-Jalil bin Humaid and Sulaiman bin Kathir from al-Zuhri. The narrator 'Uqail reported the name Sinan .

Narrated Abu Waqid al-Laythi: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم saying to his wives during the Farewell Pilgrimage: This (is the pilgrimage for you); afterwards stick to the surface of the mats (i. e. should stay at home).

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: A muslim woman must not make a journey of a night unless she is accompanied by a man who is within the prohibited degrees.
